2. GRAMMAR

The majority of verbs in the past are regular. However, a small number of verbs (several of which are very common) are irregular in the past simple. These verbs don't add -ed in the past, they change their form. This change can be just one or two letter, e.g. wear / wore, or can be a completely new word, e.g. go / went.
